Overview
Dog Over Breed provides dog boarding in Concord for dog owners across the East Bay: a calmer alternative to a traditional dog kennel or dog hotel. Dogs do not share sleeping space: every guest has their own spot, from a home-style crate to an 8×8 private suite.
Boarding days include structured play matched to your dog’s energy, meals from home, and photos or short video clips shared with owners when available. Add pack walks during the stay for extra exercise, or a bath at the end for that fresh, clean smell.
What’s included
Crates sized for large to extra-extra-large dogs, set up with bedding for a familiar, den-like rest.
A raised deck with drainage. A good fit for young dogs and dogs still working on bladder control.
Insulated walls and sound-dampening ceiling panels, for sensitive dogs or dogs who prefer their own space.
Boarding guests join thoughtfully matched daycare playgroups during the day.
Rubber-like flooring that is easy to clean and gentle on paws, joints and hips, with multiple air purifiers.
Real moments from your dog’s stay can be sent to you when available.

We’ve been loyal to Dog Over Breed and Mo since he came highly recommended to us in 2020. The team treats us and our pup with respect and trains him, and us, every time we have our dog spend the day and/or night.
We’ve used daily and boarding services and we are always confident that everything is going to be perfect.
Last, the new facility remodel is first class. Shows that they’ve thought of the dogs, their safety, happiness, and cleanliness.
Can’t recommend enough!

Dog over breed has been an absolute blessing to us! When we first moved to the area I spent months looking for a reputable dog trainer and dog sitting service for our reactive pitbull. After our first meeting, we knew we finally found someone that we could trust to help us. Mohit and his team not only helped our dog live up to his potential but helped us become better dog owners! Our dog can now walk calmly on a leash without reacting to others, he is able to socialize with other dogs in a friendly way and we are no longer anxious taking him on walks. Dog over Breed is the only place we trust to board our dog. When I tell our dog we are going to Uncle Mohit’s he gets the zoomies and waits at the front door ready to go. Thank you guys for everything! I highly recommend them! You will not regret it!

Dog Over Breed has been an amazing place for my dog Lázaro. They do an amazing job ensuring he is always well behaved, always training on how to walk with a pack on and off leash, and their grooming services are stellar. There have been several times when we needed to board Lázaro and Dog over Breed always comes through assisting us with our Furrson.
I would give them 1,000 stars if possible!
Mo and Vic love what they do and you can tell, my dog Lázaro is always super happy to see them!
Best daycare on the east bay hands down!

FAQ
How much is dog boarding in Concord at Dog Over Breed?
Rates depend on the sleeping space that suits your dog: a home-style crate, a 4×4 open suite or an 8×8 private suite. Current rates are shown in our secure booking system as soon as you register. Pricing, eligibility, availability, and service details are confirmed at the time of booking.
Do dogs share sleeping space?
No. Every boarding guest has their own sleeping space: a home-style crate, a 4×4 open suite or an 8×8 private suite.
What should I pack?
Your dog’s regular food plus a little extra, any medications with instructions, and an optional towel or blanket with a familiar scent.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Arrive before 3pm on the first day. Check-out is at 10am; later pick-up includes a daycare fee.
Can I add walks to a boarding stay?
Yes. Pack walks can be added to any boarding stay for extra exercise and time on the trail.
Should my dog attend daycare before boarding?
Dogs of every age are welcome to attend daycare before their first boarding stay. It helps us understand their needs and comforts, and makes sure they’re comfortable with our staff.
Will I get updates during the stay?
Photos or short video clips may be shared with you directly when available.
Do you offer board and train?
No, and that’s deliberate. A dog trained by our staff during a stay learns to listen to us, not to you. Instead, our one-on-one training teaches you to work with your own dog, so your dog learns to listen to you, and those habits are reinforced in daycare and on walks.
